Labor-Management Council of Greater KC to Host Construction Summit

[tweetmeme]This is great event that I am unfortunately going to miss this year.  I am taking my (high school senior) daughter to K-State to tour the campus on the 29th.  If anyone is planning on attending this, please drop me a note and let me know your impressions.

Press Release-

The Labor-Management Council of Greater Kansas City invites you to Construction Summit No. 3: Quality Counts.

The event will take place on Jan. 29, 2010, from 8-11 a.m., at the Argosy Casino.   The last summit attracted 300 construction customers, contractors, union leaders, and government officials who discussed and learned about ways in which organized industry can best meet customer needs.

Summit No. 3 will highlight the results and opportunities for owners and developers to build affordable, quality projects.  The agenda includes presentations relative to the construction industry such as the latest tools and resources for building projects with the best efficiency, safety, productivity, and sustainability; state-of-the-art training for constructions workers, and more.

There is no cost associated with attending the Summit.  The Summit will be followed by a luncheon benefitting the National Institute for Construction Excellence (NICE), and honoring Sam Alpert, Building Owners & Managers Association Kansas City Chapter.

Be advised that luncheon charges do apply.

To RSVP or register, send an e-mail to or call 816-501-4565.
